Exposure of degrading lyrics and substance-less garbage believe or NOT affects individuals.
Lyrics should be the main thing in music.. it tells a story, informs people and educates people.
Good or bad, lyrics influence people and their lives.
It runs us. It is so important in our lives.. music and the entertainment industry practically controls us.
Music influences= lifestyle, clothing, peers, thoughts... list goes on.
OF COURSE... an amazing beat is great and is also important for certain times, but there is more to it.
Some wouldn't see this point I'm trying to make and just see lyrics to a song superficially. When in fact, words to a song send us messages, influence our thoughts and have underlying meanings to them. I just think lyrics should be more listened to, since music is an integral part of our lives.
